It is with deep sadness that we inform our community of a student loss. A family has notified Cheltenham school leaders that one of our ECE superheroes has unexpectedly passed away. No one is ever prepared for this kind of loss. While the Cheltenham community processes what has happened and feels the array of emotions associated with loss, we want to assure everyone that this child will not be forgotten. They will live on in our hearts and memories. Our thoughts are with this superhero’s family, and we offer our deepest condolences to the friends, students and staff that are grieving this heartbreaking news.

We ask that students and staff be respectful of the family’s privacy as they grieve the loss of the loss of their child. Speculation and the spread of misinformation will only harm this family already burdened with this heartbreaking situation.

We are committed to making every effort to support our superheroes and are dedicated to supporting our students and families as we cope with this loss. We encourage you to reach out for support in talking with your child should they have questions about the sudden loss of a peer.
