Dear Cheltenham Elementary Community,
Welcome to a new school year! We are thrilled to welcome our new and returning families as we dream big and hone our super powers!
Our teachers, staff, and leadership team (myself, AP Mr. Andrew Murphy, and Dean of Culture Ms. Sarah Davis) have spent the summer relaxing and preparing welcoming classrooms and meaningful experiences for each Superhero. We are excited to partner with you to support your child's academic, social, and emotional growth this year.
Registration is required for all DPS students before school starts. Online registration takes 24-28 hours to process. Complete it through the Parent Portal using these steps:
Log in to the Parent Portal.
Select "See All Apps."
Select "Online Registration."
Verify, update, and submit your student's info.
In-person registration takes place in the Cheltenham front lobby on:
Monday, August 10th: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Tuesday, August 11th: 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Thursday, August 13th: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Monday, August 17th: 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Please attend our Meet the Teacher Event on Friday, 08/21 from 3:30-4:30 pm, starting in the auditorium for principal updates. New families will stay for a 15-minute orientation and optional school tour. Instead of buying school supplies, we request a $20 donation per student, payable at the front office during registration or the event.
To stay informed, ensure your email and phone number are updated in the Parent Portal. I will send school-wide updates via a bi-weekly newsletter, and teachers will provide classroom updates.
Active home-school partnerships are essential for student success. Whether you volunteer or read with your child, your support matters. Please contact us anytime to schedule a meeting with teachers or administrators.
